- Crown Estate Scotland’s 2021-23 Climate Change Action Plan sets out our targets to reach zero direct emissions by 2040. Our direct emissions do not however, relate to our business travel and we have no specific target set for air or business travel. Enclosed is an electronic copy of this Plan.

Enclosed is Crown Estate Scotland’s Green Travel and Office Plan. This Plan sets out our approach to reducing business travel related emissions. Whilst no specific targets are set, we include actions to reduce our business air travel, as detailed in the “Greening Our Travel” section (Page 5) of the Plan and the corresponding actions set out in Annex 1.
Crown Estate Scotland’s Climate Change Action Plan also includes actions relevant to the reduction of emissions related to business travel (Action4 – develop a Green Travel Plan; Action 5 – Incorporate home working options and use of digital communication platforms into normal working practices). Action 3 is for an update to our Business Expenses Policy to support more sustainable travel options and cross reference with the Sustainable Travel Hierarchy that is within the Green Travel Plan. This action should be complete by Quarter 3 2023.
