Documents dated 1 January 2020 to 17 January 2022 which discuss the total size of seabed (km²) of the ScotWind leasing round. Please provide:
- All internal Crown Estate Scotland documents
- All correspondence between Crown Estate Scotland and the Scottish Government (including ministers, civil servants, special advisors, and press officers).
- All notes or minutes of phone calls, meetings, and virtual meetings between Crown Estate Scotland and the Scottish Government.

Enclosed are two pieces of email correspondence between Crown Estate Scotland and Scottish Government (Marine Directorate). The redactions made fall under the definition of personal data under UK General Data Protection Regulations (UKGDPR); therefore, release of the information would contravene the principles of UKGDPR; 11(2) under EIRs applies.
We have a duty to provide you with advice and assistance in relation to your request. The Scottish Government’s Sectoral Marine Plan, published by the Marine Directorate, was the basis for the seabed allocation for ScotWind Leasing around. Crown Estate Scotland was involved in a Sectoral Marine Plan steering group, which concluded in December 2019; at the time when the draft Plan was published.
