I am looking to inquire about the policy surrounding the Option Fees for the lead applicant of the ScotWind project.
Should an applicant, decide after X amount of time and/or into construction decide this will cost them much more than anticipated, is the applicant obligated to pay full amount to the Scottish government or what the partial amount would be?
Response:
The full Option Fee is paid to enter the option agreement which is in advance of any construction or site investigations, and this is non-refundable. There would be no scenario like the one presented.
