FOI 320_Loch Long Salmon

Request:

Please provide all information on any correspondence, discussion, meetings with Loch Long Salmon (or any other party or individual) regarding a proposed new fish farm in Stromeferry/South Strome/Loch Carron/ Lochcarron including external and internal emails, meetings and phone calls.

Response:

The table enclosed, lists the information being disclosed.

The redactions in ‘Black’ contains information that is outside of the scope of the request (not related to option agreement at Stromeferry/Loch Carron)

The redactions in ‘Red’ are personal data as defined under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UKGDPR); and disclosure of such information would contravene the principles of UKGDPR.  Therefore section 11(2) – third party personal data, under EIRs is applied.

We are withholding one internal email between colleagues under EIRs exception 10(4)(e)-internal communications. Crown Estate Scotland require a space where we can seek out advice from other colleagues and have a frank discussion without fear or worry of that going out into the public domain. 

The redactions in ‘Green’ fall under EIRs exception 10(5)(f) – third party interest.  This is information provided to us by third parties who have provided us the information voluntarily and have not given us consent to release it.
