Request:
For a copy of our current risk register. The requester clarified that this was our corporate risk register (which we refer to as our strategic risk register).
Response:
In response to your request please find a copy of our strategic risk register from October 2023. We have made some redactions to the document using the following colour coding:
Red – the information is held by Crown Estate Scotland (FOISA s16(1)(a)) but is being withheld from publication by application of FOISA s33(1)(b);
Blue – this information is held by Crown Estate Scotland (FOISA s16(1)(a) but is being withheld from publication as it contains personal data (FOISA s38(1)(b));
Purple – this information is held by Crown Estate Scotland (FOISA s16(1)(a)) but is being withheld form publication by application of FOISA s29(1)(a).
Our strategic risk register is a living document which is reviewed regularly by our Executive Team and is formally discussed once a month. It therefore represents a snapshot of a particular moment in time. As our strategic risk register it talks to corporate risks by reference to our Corporate Plan.
Our Annual Report and Accounts also contain information on key corporate risks. Our Annual Reports can be found on our website here: https://www.crownestatescotland.com/resources/documents?search_api=annual+report. We are anticipating that the Report for 2022-23 will be laid in the Scottish Parliament before the December recess.
We are currently working with external consultants to review and update our risk management policy, processes and registers and we do not expect that the format of the strategic register attached will continue to be used.
