Request:
I would like to enquire the length of the new leases awarded to the private companies (BP, SHELL, Scotwind etc) for developing new windfarms of the coast of Scotland.
A length of lease for each of the 17 awardees would be appreciated.
Response:
No leases have yet been awarded to ScotWind applicants. We are currently offering option agreements to the successful ScotWind Developers. These are for up to 10 years. For projects that then proceed to a full seabed lease, the standard lease length will be 60 years.
