A welcome addition to Tomintoul’s tourism offer has received a ‘green light’, with work set to kick-off this month on the construction of new holiday accommodation on the Glenlivet Estate.
Twenty four en-suite wooden wigwam cabins will be built on Crown Estate Scotland land, south east of the existing Glenlivet Estate Office and Visitor Centre. The luxury cabins will be delivered in two phases, with the first 12 expected to open in spring 2017 and the remaining 12 in spring 2018.
The new holiday accommodation is being built by Wigwam Holidays, with the support of Crown Estate’s Scotland and the Glenlivet & Tomintoul Development Trust.
