Salmon Fishing from Balmacara to Plockton has been sold
1. When it was sold
2. To whom it was sold
Response
The stretch of salmon fishing rights from Balmacara to Plockton (Rubha Mor) were sold to the Atlantic Salmon Conservation Trust (Scotland) in 2004.
The salmon fishing at Plockton itself were found not to belong to the Crown in 1877 following an investigation into a claim by Sir Alexander Mathieson.
We do not have any further information on these salmon fishing rights other than that they are not considered to be within Crown ownership since the dates indicated above. To find information on the current owners, we recommend getting in touch with Registers of Scotland
