Senior Human Resources Manager (Maternity Cover)

Crown Estate Scotland is recruiting for a Senior HR Manager for a nine month maternity cover (with possibility of extension). This role is based in our central Edinburgh office.
Crown Estate Scotland manages assets on behalf of Scottish Ministers including agricultural and forestry land, most of the seabed, just under half of the foreshore and some commercial property. We invest in property, natural resources and people to generate lasting value for Scotland. We return all revenue profit to Scottish Government.

The successful applicant will have responsibility for overseeing delivery of a full range of HR activity across the business including resourcing, reward, L&D, performance management, employee relations and health and wellbeing. This role also has responsibility for managing all pay-related activity including our outsourced payroll service, oversight of the pay and conditions framework and managing pay negotiations.
This role provides HR leadership across the organisation, leading on HR- related change projects and providing advice and guidance to the business on all people-related statutory and HR duties. The role holder works closely with the CEO and leadership team.
The successful candidate will be a credible HR expert with demonstrable ability to build relationships at all levels. As part of a small HR team, you will be expected to provide strategic oversight of the HR function while also supporting operational delivery where required.
